I purchased two of these Holmes "Smoke Grabbers" about six months ago. Both worked well for the first few minutes, then they began to rattle, soundind like a bearing was going out.
Their noise is too loud to use in the same room where one might be trying to enjoy a TV program, or music.
The are useful in a machine shop, where the machine noises drow out the racous noise of the "Smoke Grabber"!
I purchased these "Smoke Grabbers" in an attempt to be considerate of others, but I think the noise is as bad as the smoke.
